19th June 2008
On the 29th March our club was asked by the Navy to put on a display at the Navy open evening the club managed to put on a display by six members in what can only be described as challenging conditions finishing with a thunderstorm and monsoon weather.
The cycle club that uses the Airfield TOR2000 have approached the club and informed us of dates they will be using the airfield club members will have this information in there recent club newsletter , if the first club member to arrive on the airfield could contact the cyclists to avoid any conflict of interests.
The Western Gazette have advertised a proposed charity cycling event on the 29th June we understand the airfield will be of limits to us on this date however please speak to security staff nearer the time to confirm.

The Navy are on leave for the May Bank Holiday 23 May – 28 May 2008 so this gives us a few days of unrestricted flying and a good chance to get some hours out at the airfield "weather permitting".
The for sale section of the website seems to have been a success it is free to club members so if you want to sell an item simply post your item in the forsale section of the forum or email it to me and ill get it up on the site for you

Another year is almost at a close 2007 has been a rather strange year, a good spring, no summer but quite a good autumn, this years AGM was held at a different venue "The Ship Inn" Furnham Road chard which is on the Ilminster side of the A358.
The meeting was held on Tuesday 11th December at 8.00pm as with previous years free drinks and a buffet was supplied there was another good turnout of members this year thank you to everyone that attended .
Anyone that was not able to attend the meeting please get in touch with Dave Cossins so we know how many members to apply for with the Crown Property Agents members places in the club will be held untill the end of January if you have not renewed by then you may lose your place to someone on the waiting list.
Royal Navy holidays are from the 22nd December until 2nd January 2008 so you may fly when you like between these dates.
Congratulations to Andy Sturgess on passing his BMFA club examiners test , so any members of the Club wanting to take their "B" test we now have another examiner contact Dave Cossins for help.
